Federer signs on to defend Rotterdam title
With this season not even half done, Roger Federer is already
planning his 2013 schedule, with the Swiss signing on for a return to
the ATP Rotterdam event to defend his indoor title.
Proud tournament director Richard Krajicek, the 1996 Wimbledon winner, announced the 2013 box-office bonanza which promises to again pack the Ahoy area for the entire week of the event which starts February 11.
"After his victory in February, Roger's return was on top of the wish list of everyone involved in the ABN AMRO World Tennis," Krajicek said in a statements. "We are very proud that we have agreed on his participation which we can announce today."
Federer added: "This is one of the 'special' tournaments for me personally. I'm glad to be present during the 40th anniversary of the tournament and hopefully I will become the first player to win the title for a third time."
Federer beat Juan Martin Del Potro in this year's final after lifting the trophy in 2005.
