 Following are facts about Russian Maria Sharapova, who became the tenth player to complete the win Grand Slam titles after beating Italian Sara Iran on Saturday to win the women's singles title at the French Open.
- Was born on 19 April 1987 in Njan in Russia.
- Lives in Bradenton, Florida.
* Crown in the grand slam:
- Won four titles in Grand Slam tournaments: Wimbledon (2004) and U.S. Open (2006) and the Australian Open (2008) and the French Open (2012).
* Start:
- Born in Siberia and moved to the resort of Sochi on the Black Sea while she was in the age of two.
- I moved to Florida in 1996 for training at the Academy in Bradenton Boltere Nick. Moved with her to her father Yuri United States, but her mother Elena had to stay in Russia because of visa restrictions on entry.
