In the first round of the tournament in Germany Raunic won over German Philip Bachner straight sets by 7-5, 7-6.
Reservation and German Philipp Kohlschreiber, seeded eighth place in the second round by beating German Dustin Brown 7-6, 7-6.
He also won the Russian Mikhail Youzhny on the Dutchman Robin Haase 6-3, 6-2 and China's Zhang Zi over German Tobias Kamke 6-4, 7-6.
Polish and beat Lukas Kubot to Finn Jarkko Nieminen 6-4, 6-4.
